Policies

Vaccination Policy:

We require all dogs be current on vaccines for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. We accept up to 3 year booster for Rabies and Distemper (whatever your veterinarian recommends). Bordetella vaccines must be boosted yearly. If expired or previously not vaccinated, vaccines must be given at least 3 days prior to boarding. The only exception to this rule is those pets that have a medical condition that prevents them from being vaccinated. In these cases, this must be discussed with us before the date of the reservation and we must see a note from that pet's doctor stating the nature of the condition and reason for not vaccinating. This policy is here to protect your pet as well as the other guests staying with us. Bordatella must be boosted annually.

Cats must be vaccinated for Rabies and Distemper and have had a negative test for FELV/FIV. We recommend vaccinating for FELV but it is not a requirement. FELV must be boosted annually.

Veterinary Emergency:

In the event your pet becomes ill or is injured, we will attempt to contact you first. If you cannot be reached (or there is no time), we will transport your pet to West Mountain Animal Hospital (or other emergency facility) for treatment. If time allows, we may contact your vet and ask for recommendations first. If your pet has a chronic illness or is geriatric, we suggest you discuss with your veterinarian and us how you would like us to handle a crisis. Please understand you will be responsible for all veterinary costs as well as transportation costs and any extra special care your pet may require. We consider all our guests as part of our extended family and will do whatever is necessary to keep your pet healthy, happy, and as comfortable as possible.

Cancellation Policy:

We understand sometimes plans change. During our peak periods (all holidays, school vacations, and June 1 through Labor Day weekend) space fills up fast. If you need to cancel your reservation we ask for 5 days prior notice or there will be a $50 cancellation fee. During peak periods you are charged for the days reserved even if you pick up early.
